The leader of the citrus industry strengthens its position with the acquisition of Sanguinelli blood orange specialist company.
The Natural Fruit Company (TNFC) has announced the acquisition of the Valencian company S.G Marzal, a family business specialised in the production of Spanish Sanguinelli blood oranges, or just “Sanguinelli”. The purchase forms part of The Natural Fruit Company’s strategy to consolidate the citrus sector by integrating long-standing, specialised companies and ensuring the continuity of their management teams. Fremman Capital is currently the majority shareholder of the company.
S.G Marzal is a family business specialised in the commercialisation of Spanish Sanguinelli blood oranges, located in the municipality of Bellreguard (Valencia). It currently has a packing plant of more than 6.000 square metres, very close to the cultivation and harvest area. S.G. Marzal is involved in the whole chain of the production process, from the production itself to the commercialisation of the fruit all over Europe, and with a remarkable presence in France, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Germany.
